Thesis and introduction.
The two cartoons I chose deal with the starvation problem in Somalia and how the U.S just doesn't care. Somalia has been burdened by conflict for the past 20 years (http://www.wfp.org/countries/somalia) and was just hit with a recent epidemic, a drought which just adds to the economic instability. With the drought the farmers are unable to grow anything, and with no food to feed the animals or the people starvation kicks in. The starvation problem has caused many Somalis to flee to refuge camps in Ethiopia, and Kenya (http://www.wfp.org/countries/somalia) looking for help in they're time of need. But still the U.S has yet to lend a helping hand to the people of Somalia.
